Gateway to the west....

We haven't arrive at the gateway just quite yet. About 15 miles shy, which is perfectly fine with me. After approximately 14 hrs on 850 miles of road, we are what we would consider a bit pooped. I will say though, the time flew thanks to XM Radio, Books on tape and oh yeah, my mom.

I wont bore you with the minute details of the overly exciting states we covered, instead I will discuss 10 things I discovered randomly:

1. My mother cannot use an iPhone (especially not the camera) 2. Monster Drinks come in 32 ounce cans (I know this thanks to the 15 year old boy in line at Sheetz- Gross) 3. Men do not wear shirts in WV. 4. Artichokes do NOT grow in Kentucky 5. It is impossible to find the different regional classifications of the US on the internet. 6. Indiana lives in a black hole abyss when it comes to day light savings... who knows what time it is and who cares. 7. I am not going to have Friday classes for the next 6 months (totally rad) 8. The mini can climb to massive height of 2500 ft in WV (lets hope it goes higher then that- say 12000) 9. Even after 2 cups of coffee my mother will go right back to sleep 10. In Illinois, as the sun goes down the temperature goes up (102), go figure..... and the list goes on.

Thank you all for txting and calling today. It has been a great trip so far; One that I dont want to have to do again for a really, really long time. Ill update you all tomorrow with more useless information I feel so passionately about between Missouri and Colorado!
